Vestibular Physical Therapy – Introduction Course
저희 대한물리치료학회가 주관 운영하여 미국 전정기관 물리치료 분야의 해외 저명 교수, Susan Whitney (Department of Physical Therapy, School of Health and Rehabilitation Science, University of Pittsburgh) 교수를 모시고 전정기관 물리치료 교육을 개최 합니다.
전정기관 물리치료는 미국물리치료사협회 (American Physical Therapy Association)의 전문 분야인 신경물리치료 (Neurology section)의 세부 전문 분야로 구분되어 있으며, 많은 임상 활동과 연구가 이루어지고 있는 분야입니다.
국내 물리치료에서는 전정기관 물리치료에 대한 임상 및 학문적 가치는 인정하면서도, 타 분야에 비해 아직 많은 지식과 정보가 공유되지 않고 있는 실정입니다. 본 교육과정을 통해 전정기관의 이해, 전정기관의 질환 및 신경 손상으로 인한 어지름증, 전정기관의 평가와 치료 등의 교육 내용을 소개하고 우리나라에 전정기관 물리치료가 도입되기 위한 첫 출발을 가지려고 합니다.
